Over a thousand years of Li heritage nurturing outstanding talents; exploring the charm of traditional boat houses and showcasing Eastern culture — The International Talent Exchange Cultural Tour to Dongfang Baicha Village was successfully held.

To deepen Sino-foreign cultural and people-to-people exchanges and cooperation within the Hainan Free Trade Port and to establish a platform for international talent exchange and cultural integration, on June 26, Dongfang City invited international talents from 11 countries—including Sweden, Morocco, Canada, and Indonesia—to visit Baicha Village in Dongfang. During their visit, the participants toured the ancient village landscape, explored the cultural heritage of the Li ethnic group, and tasted local Li cuisine, thereby experiencing the charm of the Li ethnic group's millennia-old intangible cultural heritage through diverse interactive activities, and enhancing Dongfang's reputation as a hub for cultural tourism from an international perspective.

The atmosphere at this event was vibrant and enthusiastic. International talents strolled through the ancient village alongside inheritors of the intangible cultural heritage of the Li ethnic group's boat-shaped house construction techniques; they visited the cluster of boat-shaped houses and the Li ethnic culture exhibition area up close, gaining a systematic understanding of the historical development of Baicha Village, the boat-shaped house construction techniques, the folk culture of the Li people, and the achievements made in the protection of intangible cultural heritage, thereby gaining a genuine appreciation for the unique depth of the traditional culture of ethnic minorities. The event featured immersive experiential activities, including a tasting session of distinctive Li cuisine, photo opportunities showcasing traditional ethnic attire, and treasure hunts within the ancient village; simultaneously, it launched a cultural tourism photography competition and a call for bilingual promotional short videos, leveraging the perspective of international talents to broaden the channels for the external dissemination of Eastern cultural tourism. At the conclusion of the event, each international talent shared their reflections on the experience, sang songs together on stage, and exchanged positive visions for cultural integration and harmonious coexistence.

This initiative further expands pathways for attracting talent, optimizes the environment for retaining and nurturing talent, and effectively enhances international talent's sense of belonging to Dongfang City and the Hainan Free Trade Port as a place that is both livable and conducive to business. 本次活动现场氛围热烈。国际人才跟随市级黎族船型屋营造技艺非遗传承人漫步古村落，近距离参观船型屋群落、黎族文化展示区，系统了解白查村古村落发展历程、船型屋营造技艺、黎族民俗文化及非遗保护工作成效，真切体会少数民族传统文化的独特底蕴。活动设置特色黎餐品鉴、民族服饰打卡和古村寻宝等沉浸式体验环节，并同步启动文旅摄影大赛、双语宣传短视频征集活动，借助国际人才视角拓宽东方文旅对外传播路径。活动尾声，国际人才逐一分享活动感悟、同台合唱歌曲，相互传递文化相融、友好相处的美好愿景。
