2025 年 10 月 8 日下午 3 点，外国专家书屋内暖意融融，一场专为外籍人才打造的初级中文学习班如期拉开帷幕。此次活动由吸引了 20 位外籍人才代表参与，其中包括新加坡符积虎教授及其妻子 Mona，大家齐聚一堂，共同开启探索中文与中国文化的奇妙旅程。
At 3 p.m. on October 8, 2025, the Foreign Experts' Book House was filled with a warm atmosphere. A beginner-level Chinese learning class specially designed for foreign talents kicked off as scheduled. Organized carefully by the Foreign Experts' Book House this activity attracted 20 foreign talent representatives to participate, including Professor Check Woo from Singapore and his wife Mona. Everyone gathered here to embark on a wonderful journey of exploring Chinese language and culture together.
活动伊始，外籍人才们有序签到后纷纷落座。温馨的氛围从一开始就被拉满，符积虎教授和妻子 Mona 特意带来了洗干净的冰镇葡萄，热情地与在场的每一位参与者分享，清甜的葡萄不仅驱散了午后的些许燥热，更拉近了彼此之间的距离，让现场充满了欢声笑语。
At the beginning of the activity, the foreign talents signed in in an orderly manner and then took their seats. The warm atmosphere was fostered right from the start. Professor Check Woo and his wife Mona specially brought cleaned iced grapes and warmly shared them with every participant present. The sweet grapes not only dispelled the slight heat of the afternoon but also narrowed the distance between each other, filling the scene with laughter and cheerful voices.
下午 3 点 10 分，中文学习班正式开始，由姜欢老师担任授课教师。姜欢老师凭借丰富的教学经验，结合提前准备好的 PPT 课件，循序渐进地引导大家走进中文的世界。课程从中文发音的核心 —— 四个基本声调入手，姜欢老师详细讲解了第一声（阴平）的高平调、第二声（阳平）的升调、第三声（上声）的降升调以及第四声（去声）的降调，还特别强调了第三声在实际语境中的变调规则，比如 “水果（shuǐ guǒ）” 实际应读为 “shuí guǒ”，并通过 “妈（mā）、麻（má）、马（mǎ）、骂（mà）” 这类典型汉字举例，帮助大家直观感受声调差异。
At 3:10 p.m., the Chinese learning class officially began, with Teacher Jennifer serving as the instructor. Relying on her rich teaching experience and combined with the prepared PPT courseware, Teacher Jennifer guided everyone into the world of Chinese step by step. The course started with the core of Chinese pronunciation - the four basic tones. Teacher Jennifer explained in detail the high and level tone of the first tone (Yinping), the rising tone of the second tone (Yangping), the falling - rising tone of the third tone (Shangsheng), and the falling tone of the fourth tone (Qusheng). She also specially emphasized the tone change rules of the third tone in actual context. For example, "shuǐ guǒ (fruit)" should actually be pronounced as "shuí guǒ". Moreover, she used typical Chinese characters such as "mā (mom)", "má (hemp)", "mǎ (horse)", and "mà (scold)" as examples to help everyone intuitively feel the differences between tones.
在随后的绕口令环节，现场氛围愈发活跃。姜欢老师选取了经典的《四和十》与《画凤凰》，前者重点帮助大家区分 “s” 和 “sh” 的发音，后者则针对 “f”“h” 发音及叠字连续发音进行训练。为确保每位参与者都能得到充分练习，姜欢老师一位一位邀请外籍人才站起来尝试，耐心纠正发音细节，无论是发音不够标准的学员，还是稍显羞涩的参与者，都在老师的鼓励下积极参与，没有一人被遗漏，书屋内不时响起阵阵练习声与纠正后的喜悦笑声。
In the subsequent tongue twister session, the atmosphere at the scene became even more lively. Teacher Jennifer selected the classic "Si and Shi" and "Painting a Phoenix". The former mainly helped everyone distinguish the pronunciation of "s" and "sh", while the latter focused on the training of the pronunciation of "f" and "h" as well as the continuous pronunciation of reduplicated characters. To ensure that every participant could get sufficient practice, Teacher Jennifer invited the foreign talents to stand up and have a try one by one. She patiently corrected the details of their pronunciation. Whether it was the students whose pronunciation was not standard enough or the participants who were a little shy, all of them actively participated under the teacher's encouragement, and no one was left out. The sound of practice and the happy laughter after correction could be heard from time to time in the book house.
最受大家欢迎的当属生活化的点菜模拟环节。考虑到中文学习的实用性，姜欢老师结合日常用餐场景，先向大家介绍了 “鱼香肉丝”“宫保鸡丁”“麻婆豆腐” 等常见中国菜肴的中文名称及发音，随后让大家自由练习基础对话，如 “您好！请问几位？”“这是菜单”“我要一份鱼香肉丝，还有一碗米饭”“买单，谢谢” 等。自由练习结束后，参与者们两两一组进行情景演练，从进门问候、查看菜单、点餐，到询问菜品是否辛辣、提出需要一杯水或一包纸巾的需求，再到最后的结账环节，每一组都完整地完成了模拟，过程中大家积极交流，遇到不懂的地方及时向姜欢老师请教，在实践中快速掌握了生活化的中文表达。
The most popular part among everyone was the life - like food ordering simulation session. Considering the practicality of Chinese learning, Teacher Jennifer first introduced the Chinese names and pronunciations of common Chinese dishes such as "yú xiāng ròu sī (fish - fragrant shredded pork)", "gōng bǎo jī dīng (Kung Pao chicken)", and "má pó dòu fu (Mapo tofu)" to everyone in combination with the daily dining scenario. Then, she asked everyone to practice basic dialogues freely, such as "Hello! How many people are there, please?", "Here is the menu", "I want a portion of fish - fragrant shredded pork and a bowl of rice", "Check, please", and so on. After the free practice, the participants were divided into pairs to carry out situational drills. From greeting at the door, looking at the menu, ordering food, to asking whether the dishes were spicy, requesting a glass of water or a pack of tissues, and finally to the checkout process, each group completed the simulation completely. During the process, everyone communicated actively and consulted Teacher Jennifer in a timely manner when they encountered problems they didn't understand, thus quickly mastering the practical Chinese expressions in daily life through practice.
下午 4 点 50 分，课程教学环节圆满结束，活动进入温馨的互动时刻。大家围坐在一起，再次分享起符积虎教授夫妇带来的冰镇葡萄，同时开启了 “中文歌曲分享会”。有人唱起了周华健的《朋友》，熟悉的旋律响起，不少人跟着轻声哼唱；还有人分享了自己喜欢的其他中文歌曲片段，尽管部分歌词发音还不够精准，但每一句演唱都充满了对中文的热爱。
At 4:50 p.m., the teaching part of the course was successfully completed, and the activity entered a warm interaction moment. Everyone sat around, shared the iced grapes brought by Professor Ckeck Woo and his wife again, and at the same time started a "Chinese song sharing session". Someone sang Zhou Huajian's "Friends". When the familiar melody started, many people hummed along softly; others shared excerpts of other Chinese songs they liked. Although the pronunciation of some lyrics was not accurate enough, every sentence of the singing was full of love for the Chinese language.
下午 5 点整，在一片欢声笑语中，所有参与者与姜欢老师一起在外国专家书屋内合影留念，定格下这一充满意义的瞬间。此次中文学习班不仅让外籍人才们掌握了基础的中文发音和生活化场景表达，更让他们在轻松愉悦的氛围中进一步了解和感受中国文化，为中外文化交流搭建了温馨的桥梁。
At exactly 5 p.m., amid the joyous laughter, all the participants took a group photo with Teacher Jennifer in the Foreign Experts' Book House, freezing this meaningful moment. This Chinese learning class not only enabled the foreign talents to master basic Chinese pronunciation and practical Chinese expressions in daily scenarios but also allowed them to further understand and experience Chinese culture in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, building a warm bridge for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
