8月18日下午，海口国际人才志愿服务团成立一周年纪念活动在海口国际人才之家举行。来自20多个国家的40多位外籍人才代表齐聚海口，分享他们一年来的志愿服务故事。

海口国际人才志愿服务团由海口市科学技术和工业信息化局（海口市外国专家局）组织成立。一年来，团队累计开展志愿服务活动80余场次，服务民众2000余人次，足迹遍布社区、校园等基层，为本地社区带来了新的视角与国际化氛围，推动多元文化的交流与融合。

On the afternoon of August 18, the one-year anniversary commemoration event for the Haikou International Talent Volunteer Service Team was held at the Haikou International Talent Center. More than 40 representatives of foreign talents from over 20 countries gathered in Haikou to share their volunteer service experiences during the past year.

The Haikou International Talent Volunteer Service Team was established under the auspices of the Haikou Municipal Bureau of Science, Technology, and Industry and Information Technology (Haikou Foreign Experts Bureau). Over the past year, the team has conducted more than 80 volunteer service events, serving over 2,000 individuals. Its activities have reached communities, campuses, and other grassroots settings, bringing fresh perspectives and an international atmosphere to local neighborhoods while fostering cultural exchange and integration.

新加坡志愿者符积虎和妻子莫娜(Mona)都是服务团成员。莫娜自2023年8月起在海南中学担任英语教师，用专业服务海南教育事业；符积虎则发挥音乐特长，常常和妻子一同走进社区，用音乐为儿童启蒙英语。“海南已经成为我们的家，能为这里做点事，我们感到很自豪。”符积虎说。

来自尼泊尔的志愿者高美星是海南师范大学大四学生，去年以来她参加了多次志愿活动。“我很喜欢中国，也热爱海口。参与志愿活动让我结识了来自世界各地的朋友，大家一起交流学习，特别开心。”她表示，未来还会继续参加志愿活动，为文化交流贡献一份力量。

海口市外国专家局四级调研员陈兰芳表示，将以此次活动为契机，持续优化外籍人才服务体系，完善国际人才志愿服务激励机制，吸引更多国际人才投身公益、融入海口。

At the event, honorary certificates and commemorative plaques were awarded to 15 outstanding international volunteers of the year.

Singaporean volunteers Fu Jihu and his wife Mona are both members of the service team. Since August 2023, Mona has served as an English teacher at Hainan Middle School, dedicating her expertise to advancing Hainan's education. Fu Jihu, leveraging his musical talents, frequently visits communities with his wife to teach children English through music. "Hainan has become our home, and we take great pride in contributing to this place," said Fu Jihu.

Gao Meixing, a volunteer from Nepal and a senior student at Hainan Normal University, has participated in numerous volunteer activities since last year. "I really like China and also love Haikou. Participating in volunteer work has allowed me to meet friends from all over the world; we exchange ideas and learn together, which is particularly enjoyable," she said. She added that she will continue to engage in volunteer activities in the future to contribute to cultural exchange.

Chen Lanfang, a fourth-level researcher at the Haikou Municipal Bureau of Foreign Experts, stated that this event would serve as an opportunity to continuously improve the service system for foreign talents and refine the incentive mechanism for international volunteer services, thereby attracting more global professionals to engage in public welfare initiatives and integrate into Haikou.
