Haikou's International Talents Bring Light to Aesthetic Education Classrooms
May 25 (By reporter Lei Lei) – Recently, foreign teachers from the "Haikou Yeah" Haikou International Talent Volunteer Service Team visited Dongying Primary School in Lingshan Town, Meilan District, delivering a unique public welfare class on English and music for local children.
Singaporean professor Fu Jihu collaborated with Teacher Mona and two other Singaporean music teachers to form a volunteer teaching team. Through engaging oral interactions, scenario-based dialogue simulations, and English song performances, they encouraged children to speak confidently in a relaxed atmosphere.
In music classes, teachers guide children to experience melodies and rhythms, practice playing simple instruments, and integrate music theory into group games. The lively rhythms and dynamic interactions enable children to cultivate their aesthetic sensibilities through artistic education while gaining firsthand exposure to international educational concepts.
"The Haikou Yeah" Haikou International Talent Volunteer Service Team was jointly established by the Haikou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and the Haikou Municipal Bureau of Science, Technology and Industrial Information (Haikou Foreign Experts Bureau). It serves as a key public welfare platform that brings together international talents in Hainan and embodies the principle of "people-oriented foreign affairs and international collaboration."
This public welfare lecture is part of the "Foreign Affairs for the People: Grassroots Engagement" series organized by the Haikou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office. Going forward, the "Haikou Yeah" International Talent Volunteer Service Team will collaborate with the Haikou International Talent Center to establish regular foreign affairs programs in schools, enabling more rural students to access high-quality international educational resources.
