5月25日上午，海口国际人才之家携手海垦街道工委共同举办的“闪耀之星”英语兴趣公益行活动再次走进海垦街道垦家大院党群服务驿站，活动的开展为孩子们提供了一个生动有趣的英语学习平台，从而激发他们的学习兴趣和自信心。

On the morning of May 25, the "Shining Star" English Interest Public Welfare Event, jointly organized by Haikou International Talent Home and the Haiken Sub-district Working Committee, returned to the Kenjia Courtyard Party-Mass Service Station in Haiken Sub-district. The event provided children with an engaging and interactive platform for English learning, effectively boosting their interest and confidence in the subject.

活动伊始，来自新加坡国立大学的教授Check Woo Foo以一首欢快的英文歌曲《You Are My Sunshine》开场，迅速将孩子们带入到英语学习的氛围中。随后，他又教授了《If You Are Happy》这首歌曲，并带领孩子们重点学习了歌曲中的英文单词。孩子们在他的引导下，不仅学会了歌曲，还掌握了相关的英语词汇。另一位老师Mona还领着孩子们讲英语故事，通过故事的讲述是孩子们更好地领会单词的含义，从而更好地理解和运用。为了让孩子们更好地记忆这些单词，活动还设置了游戏环节。游戏分为两组，孩子们通过抢答说出单词的汉语意思，以及快速判断单词来源（英文歌曲或英文故事）并将A4纸单词送到相应的老师手中，这种寓教于乐的方式深受孩子们喜爱。

At the start of the event, Professor Check Woo Foo from the National University of Singapore opened with the cheerful English song "You Are My Sunshine," immediately immersing the children in an English learning atmosphere. He then taught the song "If You Are Happy" and guided the children to focus on its English vocabulary. Under his guidance, the children not only learned the song but also mastered the relevant English words. Another teacher, Mona, led the children in telling English stories; through storytelling, they better understood the meanings of the words and improved their comprehension and application. To aid memory retention, the event included a game session divided into two groups. Participants answered questions to identify the Chinese meanings of words, quickly determined their origin (from the English song or story), and handed the A4 sheets of vocabulary to their respective teachers—a fun and effective teaching method that was well-received by the children.

此次活动的另一大亮点是邀请了孩子作为少年双语主持人。这些孩子们在台上自信满满，用流利的英语主持活动，不仅锻炼了自己的英语口语能力，也激发了其他孩子们勇敢使用英语的热情。

Another highlight of this event was the invitation of children to serve as bilingual hosts for the youth audience. These children appeared confident on stage, hosting the event fluently in English—not only honing their spoken English skills but also inspiring other children to confidently use the language.
