Amid the surging tide of Hainan Free Trade Port construction, each of us from the Haikou International Talent Volunteer Group has always taken enthusiasm as our sail and professionalism as our oars, moving through the community lanes, campus classrooms, and exhibition venues of this city. Gathered here from different countries, with diverse cultural backgrounds and professional expertise, we are united by a shared belief: to inject diverse vitality into Haikou’s development through small acts, and to build a bridge for Sino-foreign communication with sincere dedication. When those practical gifts filled with care were handed to us, we felt more deeply that this volunteer journey is not just a one-way dedication, but a warm mutual response.
回望并肩同行的日子，每一段服务经历都如同镌刻在记忆里的星光，微弱却闪耀。记得在琼中新进中心小学的课堂上，海口国际人才志愿服务团成员把专业知识转化为生动有趣的讲解，看着孩子们眼中闪烁的求知光芒，便觉得所有的奔波都有了意义；在海口龙华区的社区里，海口国际人才志愿服务团化身“语言桥梁”，为外籍居民解答生活难题，帮本地商家对接国际客户，当沟通的壁垒被打破，彼此露出释然的笑容时，跨文化交流的温度便在空气中悄然蔓延；消博会的现场，海口国际人才志愿服务团穿梭在人群中提供指引与翻译服务，从晨光微熹到暮色降临，虽然疲惫，却因能为这场国际盛会贡献力量而倍感自豪。还有白沙青松乡的文化活动上，海口国际人才志愿服务团与当地居民一起载歌载舞，在欢声笑语中，不同文化的差异渐渐消融，只剩下心灵的共鸣。这些看似平凡的片段，串联起海口国际人才志愿服务团对这座城市的热爱，也让“奉献、友爱、互助、进步”的志愿精神，在每一次行动中落地生根。
Looking back on the days we walked side by side, every service experience is like a star engraved in our memories—faint yet shining. We remember standing in the classroom of Qiongzhong Xinjin Central Primary School, transforming professional knowledge into vivid and interesting explanations; seeing the eager light of curiosity in the children’s eyes made all the travel worthwhile. In the communities of Haikou’s Longhua District, we became "language bridges," solving daily problems for foreign residents and helping local businesses connect with international clients. When the barriers of communication were broken and relieved smiles appeared on everyone’s faces, the warmth of cross-cultural exchange quietly spread in the air. At the China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE), we moved through the crowds providing guidance and translation services, from dawn till dusk. Tired as we were, we felt immense pride in being able to contribute to this international event. There were also cultural activities in Qingsong Township of Baisha County, where we sang and danced with local residents; amid the laughter, the differences between cultures gradually melted away, leaving only the resonance of hearts. These seemingly ordinary moments string together our love for this city, and let the volunteer spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress" take root in every action.

When that gift package filled with sincerity was handed to us, what we felt was not just material care, but recognition and cherish for all our efforts. The constant-temperature cooling neck ring reminds us of the heat during outdoor services in summer; putting it on feels like reliving the cool comfort we shared while working side by side. The small electric kettles and rice cookers fit our daily needs, adding a touch of warmth to our lives in a foreign land. Daily necessities like laundry detergent and body wash are simple, yet full of thoughtful consideration. And that hat not only shields us from the scorching sun, but also serves as a unique memento, witnessing every step of our growth on this volunteer journey. These gifts have no fancy packaging, yet they accurately understand our needs in both service and daily life. They make us realize that even the efforts we thought were insignificant in others’ eyes are deeply remembered. This recognition is more inspiring than any praise, and it strengthens our determination to keep moving forward.

For us, this warm response has long transcended a simple reward—it has become a driving force for us to keep advancing. It lets us see that volunteer work is not a lonely run, but a warm journey with companions. It also lets more like-minded international talents see that in Haikou, every sincere effort will be seen and respected. Today, more and more partners are joining our team, dedicating themselves to volunteer activities in more fields such as educational support, community services, and cultural exchanges, all out of love for this city.
