中新网海南新闻12月1日电(王海荣)日前，一场别开生面的英语角文化交流活动在海口龙华人才之家成功举办。活动特邀新加坡国立大学教授符积虎、新加坡籍海南中学国际部英语教师Mona联袂授课，吸引“候鸟”人才、社区居民、职场人士及学生等英语爱好者参与。
该活动由海口龙华人才之家、海口市龙华区辅安“候鸟”人才工作站联合主办，海南省政协委员联系群众工作站(对外友好界)支持。活动旨在精准对接海南自贸港封关运作后的国际化人才需求，提升各类群体英语交流实用能力。

Hainan News, China News Service, December 1 (Wang Hairong) – A unique English Corner cultural exchange event was recently successfully held at the Longhua Talent Center in Haikou. The event featured joint instruction by Professor Fu Jihu from the National University of Singapore and Mona, an English teacher from the International Department of Hainan High School who is a Singaporean national, attracting participants including migrant workers, community residents, professionals, and students interested in learning English.
This event was jointly organized by Haikou Longhua Talent Home and the Fu 'an "Migratory Bird" Talent Workstation of Longhua District, Haikou City, with support from the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference's Public Contact Workstation (Foreign Friendship Division). The activity aims to precisely address the international talent demands following the operational launch of the Hainan Free Trade Port and enhance practical English communication skills across various groups.

据介绍，作为龙华区整合人才服务资源的综合性平台，海口龙华人才之家紧扣海南日益频繁的国际化交流需求，采用主题研讨、情景模拟、互动游戏等多元化形式，让参与者在实践中突破语言障碍。符积虎教授与 Mona老师凭借深厚学术积淀和丰富教学经验，围绕“自贸港生活场景英语”“封关运作后英语能力提升的必要性”等贴近实际的主题展开系统授课，覆盖自贸港建设所需的诸多实用英语知识。
“符教授和Mona老师的课特别接地气，结合自贸港实用情景讲英语，既学了语言又懂了政策，之前面对外国客户总不敢开口，现在跟着老师学，很多实用句型一下子就记住了。”参与活动的企业职员王女士表示，随着公司业务国际化程度提升，与外国客户沟通的需求日益增多，英语角提供的针对性学习机会有效解决了实际难题。“海南自贸港的发展潜力巨大，能把我的教学经验和国际视野分享给这里的英语爱好者，为海南的建设出份力，我感到非常荣幸。”Mona老师在课后交流中说道。

As a comprehensive platform for integrating talent service resources in Longhua District, Haikou Longhua Talent Home addresses Hainan's growing demand for international exchanges by employing diverse formats such as thematic seminars, situational simulations, and interactive games to help participants overcome language barriers through practical engagement. Leveraging their profound academic expertise and extensive teaching experience, Professor Fu Jihu and Teacher Mona delivered systematic lectures on practical topics including "English for Free Trade Port daily life scenarios" and "the necessity of enhancing English proficiency post-border closure," covering essential practical English skills required for free trade port development.
"Professor Fu and Teacher Mona's classes are highly practical, teaching English through real-world scenarios related to the free trade port – enabling students to master both language skills and policy understanding. Previously, I was hesitant to speak up when interacting with foreign clients, but now, by following their guidance, I've quickly memorized many useful sentence patterns," said Ms.Wang, an employee participating in the event. She added that as her company's operations become increasingly internationalized, the need for communication with foreign clients has grown significantly, and the targeted learning opportunities provided by the English corner have effectively addressed these challenges. "The Hainan Free Trade Port holds tremendous development potential. It's a great honor to share my teaching experience and global perspective with English enthusiasts here and contribute to Hainan's development," Teacher Mona remarked during post-class discussions.

海口龙华人才之家运营负责人皮进宇介绍，后续将结合参与者反馈，联合符积虎、Mona等专业师资及行业人才，针对性设置不同主题的特色课程，并开通线上交流渠道，打破时间与空间限制，构建“线上+线下”联动的学习平台。未来，依托海口龙华人才之家这一平台，将持续开展更多贴合自贸港发展需求的人才服务活动，让各类人才在交流中凝聚智慧，在实践中提升能力，为自贸港高质量发展注入活力。(完)

Pi Jinyu, operations director of Haikou Longhua Talent Home, explained that going forward, based on participant feedback, they will collaborate with professional instructors such as Fu Jihu and Mona, along with industry experts, to develop targeted courses on various themes and establish online communication channels to overcome time and space constraints, creating an integrated "online + offline" learning platform.
